The BCCI ghost raises again. Will this resurrect the questions on the use made of BCCI by Intelligence Services to fund offically approved guerilla groups in Afghanistan that later became Axis of Evil Terrorists? Lots of conspiracy sites out there on this one, Beware of Larouche sites!) but lets just take this 1992 US Senate report as a starter. If The Bank of England had in the late 1980's raised the roof on the financial shakiness of BCCI it seems a lot of covert actions were at risk of compromise. Wonder if this will emerge at the current action by BCCI creditors agains the Bank, and whether we will see that Greater Love hath no Central Bank than this, that it lay down its reputation for Financial Competence for its country's spooks.
